Privacy policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

Exprami is a free practice tool for the TCF Canada Expression écrite and Expression orale. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, your name and a Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password or access to your other Google data.

Your practice. The texts you write, the transcripts of your oral tasks, the subjects you paste, and the corrections, scores and reports we generate from them.

Your settings. Your interface and feedback languages and, if you add one, your own xAI API key. We store that key encrypted and never send it back to your browser.

Usage records. For each AI request we log what kind of request it was, its estimated cost and the time, so we can apply daily limits and a monthly budget.

Your voice

During an oral task your microphone audio streams directly from your browser to xAI, which transcribes it and voices the examiner. Exprami does not record or store your audio. We keep only the text transcript, so we can grade it and show it to you.

How we use it

To run the service: sign you in, save your work, generate corrections and scores, show your progress and recurring errors, and keep AI costs within limits.

We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, or use your answers to train AI models.

Exprami shows messages about the Build with AI workshop. Those links carry a tag saying where on Exprami you clicked. They do not share your account details with the workshop site.

Who else processes it

xAI processes your answers, transcripts and audio to produce corrections and run the oral examiner, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Google handles sign-in.

MongoDB Atlas stores our database, and our hosting provider runs the app. Both act on our behalf.

These providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States.

Cookies and storage on your device

We use only what the app needs. A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. A short-lived cookie protects the Google sign-in from forgery. A cookie remembers your interface language.

Your browser also keeps your theme choice, unsent drafts and when you last dismissed a workshop message. This stays on your device.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Who can see your work

Only you can see your answers, reports and the subjects you paste. Exprami administrators can access accounts to run and support the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and practice history while your account is active, so you can track your progress. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and practice data within 30 days. Copies in backups may take longer to expire.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or remove your xAI key at any time in Settings. To make a request, email vincent@nexaerolabs.com from the address you sign in with.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, for example the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information.

Children

Exprami is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date below. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
